Going to see the Fireworks?  From the SMITH MOUNTAIN EAGLE,  “The fireworks no-wake zone, which goes into effect at 8:30 p.m., extends some distance up the Roanoke, Blackwater and Craddock Creek channels from the large bay between Parkway Marina, Bernard’s Landing and Vista Pointe.  It remains in effect following the fireworks for as long as it takes spectator boats to idle back out to the no-wake zone boundaries, where they can proceed at a prudent after-dark cruising speed.”
